When heading back to school, it is important to keep the life skills we learn at taekwondo in mind. These six skills will help you (your child?) excel in school. 

Discipline is to obey what is right. Listen to teachers the first time, do your homework when it is assigned, show up to class on time.

Belief is “Yes, I can”. Set goals for yourself in school and do everything you can to complete them. Your hard work in taekwondo proves that you can do anything you set your mind to.

Communication is the link between the world and me. Participate in class by asking questions and speaking when it is your turn, talk to peers outside of class,

Respect is not what you know, it’s what you do. Be kind to peers and teachers alike, talk to parents and teachers in a courteous way

Self-esteem is the joy of being myself. Have the confidence to join clubs and teams, show off your knowledge in class, and be proud of the work you do. You work hard every day during the school year, and that is something to be proud of.
